MultiFramed: Copenhagen kicks off

05.09.2024

From September 1 to 3, 2025, Copenhagen hosted MultiFramed: Copenhagen, a three-day event that brought together artists, cultural practitioners, and European partners to explore new narratives about Europe through art, dialogue, and community engagement.

Part of the European project SIRIUS4all, MultiFramed is a series of international gatherings held across the continent in cities including Sofia, Berlin, Perugia, and Lisbon. Each edition invites local communities and international creatives to reflect on what Europe means today—and what it could mean tomorrow.

The main public event took place on September 2 at Union (Aula) and was open to all. The day featured: Installation and workshop by interdisciplinary artist Jupiter Child; Installation and performance by artist and performer Wanjiku Victoria Seest; Panel debate and open discussion with project partners and invited guests; Collective reflections, feedback sessions, and shared meals

The programme continued with internal partner activities and community engagement: A creative outing to KBH+, a youth culture house in Østerbro; One-on-one conversations with Menneskebiblioteket (The Human Library); Closing reflections and live music from Rapolitics / Turning Tables

The event offered a space for artistic expression, critical inquiry, and intercultural dialogue, aiming to provoke thoughtful engagement with the social and cultural dimensions of Europe’s future.

SIRIUS4all is co-funded by the European Union and National Culture Fund under the Creative Europe programme. The project supports cross-border cooperation between artists, cultural organizations, and communities, creating platforms for reflection and the presentation of artistic work across Europe.

The outcomes of the events in each city will be curated into a long-term 3D online gallery, functioning as a digital archive and international showcase for participating artists.
